Endstate Commissioning is a UK-based contract recruitment specialist focused on Commissioning, EC&I and Engineering support across onshore industrial projects.
We supply experienced engineering professionals at the most critical stages of project delivery – including pre-commissioning, energisation, testing, shutdown and handover.
As part of our growth, we are looking for an experienced Lead Recruitment Consultant to develop our Commissioning & Engineering recruitment operation, grow our client base and ultimately build and lead a specialist recruitment team.
This is more than a traditional billing role. As EndState Commissioning grows, there is the opportunity to progress towards Managing Director, participate in net profits and potentially share in the long-term value of the business.

We work with EPC contractors, system integrators, engineering delivery teams and specialist commissioning contractors requiring proven professionals capable of operating within technically demanding and high-risk project environments.
Our core focus is contract recruitment across the commissioning and engineering lifecycle.

Your Role
You will take a hands-on role developing the Commissioning & Engineering recruitment market and establishing Endstate Commissioning as a recognised specialist recruitment partner.
You will:
- Develop new contract recruitment business.
- Build relationships with EPCs, engineering contractors, system integrators and end clients.
- Identify upcoming commissioning and engineering requirements.
- Develop specialist contractor networks.
- Manage recruitment from business development through to placement and mobilisation.
- Develop key accounts and long-term client relationships.
- Identify new sectors and commercial opportunities.
- Recruit and build a team as the business grows.
You'll have considerable autonomy to shape the desk, develop the market and influence the future direction of EndState Commissioning.

Endstate Commissioning forms part of an established recruitment group, giving you the opportunity to help build a specialist business without starting one from scratch.
The wider group provides the infrastructure and back-office support required to grow, including:
- Marketing and brand support

This allows you to concentrate on winning clients, developing contractor relationships, making placements and building the business.
The Opportunity
We are looking for someone who wants greater ownership of the business they help create.
The package includes:
Basic salary up to £70,000
Uncapped commission

The longer-term structure will remain deliberately flexible and develop around the successful individual, the growth of EndState Commissioning and the value they create.
About You
You don't need to be a Managing Director today.
You could currently be a Senior Recruitment Consultant, Principal Consultant, Lead Consultant, Managing Consultant, Recruitment Manager or Divisional Manager ready for the next step.
We are particularly interested in recruiters with experience across Commissioning, EC&I, Electrical, Controls, Instrumentation or closely aligned Engineering markets.
You will ideally have:
- A successful recruitment track record.
- Experience recruiting within Commissioning, EC&I or Engineering.
- Contract recruitment experience.
- Strong business development skills.
- Experience winning and developing client accounts.
- The confidence to engage with senior engineering and project stakeholders.
- An established network or strong understanding of the engineering contractor market.
- An entrepreneurial and commercially driven approach.
- The ambition to build and lead a recruitment team.
