Due to continued growth, Flux Consulting is seeking an experienced Recruitment Consultant to manage and develop its Building Control desk.
A Genuine Warm Desk
You will inherit a genuine warm desk with established clients, existing vacancies and an active candidate database. This provides the opportunity to generate placements from the outset while continuing to develop new and existing business relationships.
You will recruit Building Control professionals for consultancies, approved inspectors, local authorities and other organisations operating across the Built Environment.
Typical appointments may include:
- Building Control Surveyors
- Registered Building Inspectors
- Principal and Senior Building Control Surveyors
- Building Safety professionals
- Fire Safety and Compliance specialists
- Technical Managers
- Building Control Managers
The Role
Working within an established specialist team, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing relationships with existing clients.
- Identifying and generating new business opportunities.
- Taking detailed vacancy requirements and advising clients on market conditions.
- Sourcing and approaching Building Control professionals.
- Managing an active candidate database and building new talent networks.
- Screening candidates and coordinating interviews.
- Negotiating offers and managing placements through to completion.
- Developing a strong personal profile within the Building Control market.
- Achieving agreed revenue and performance targets.
About You
Applications are welcomed from Recruitment Consultants with experience in any of the following sectors:
- Building Control
- Construction
- Civil or Structural Engineering

- The wider Built Environment
Direct Building Control recruitment experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Recruiters with transferable Built Environment knowledge and the ability to develop strong client and candidate relationships are encouraged to apply.
You should be commercially minded, self-motivated and comfortable managing the complete recruitment process.
Salary and Benefits
- Basic salary of £30,000–£40,000, depending on experience.
- Commission of up to 30% of total billings with no threshold.
