The Role
CPXR is seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join its Reading office and develop a permanent white-collar construction desk.
You will recruit construction professionals across operational, commercial, technical and pre-construction disciplines, working with established clients while developing new business throughout the region and across the UK.
The desk covers:
- Site Managers
- Project Managers
- Contracts Managers
- Quantity Surveyors
- Estimators
- Planners
- Buyers
- Commercial Managers
- Operations Directors
- Regional Leads
You will benefit from live vacancies, established relationships and access to an extensive client base that includes Tier 1 residential developers, PLC main contractors and specialist construction businesses.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a high-potential permanent desk and make it your own. You can remain a successful individual biller or, if your ambition is to build and lead a team, you will be given the support and opportunity to do so.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete permanent recruitment process
- Source and engage experienced white-collar construction professionals
- Develop relationships with new and existing clients
- Generate vacancies through targeted business development
- Manage candidate interviews, offers and negotiations
- Build specialist market knowledge and a strong professional network
- Maintain an accurate and commercially focused recruitment pipeline
- Deliver a knowledgeable, transparent and responsive service
About You
You will be an experienced recruitment professional with a successful track record in permanent recruitment. Previous experience within construction, the built environment or a related technical market would be particularly valuable.
You will be:
- Confident developing new and existing client accounts
- Experienced in managing permanent recruitment assignments
- Commercially focused and motivated by results
- Comfortable building relationships with senior professionals
- Able to work independently and take ownership of your market
- Interested in developing a long-term career within a growing business

Salary and Benefits
- £35,000–£45,000 basic salary
- Commission ranging from 22.5% to 35%
- Three-month earnings guarantee
